In this seven screens video installation, Michel Platnic has taken extracts from Plato’s "Republic" and is constantly regenerating the text through a Markov algorithm; the result is played on the central screen. This work is an attempt to reconsider one of the most influential texts in the Occidental history and juxtaposes Plato’s original concepts with our current Occidental reality. It must be admitted that today injustice reigns. Beyond language, where has this access to absolute promised by Plato gone?
